Edited with notes by CILIPS Past President Alan Reid, ‘Voices of Scottish Librarians‘ captures the memories of 14 librarians and other library staff working across Scotland in the 20th century. It tells the story of their working lives, explaining how libraries developed from the austerity following the 2nd World War to become an important feature of local communities, delivering an expanding range of public services.
