How to work with NIHR Evidence and support health literacy
Category: Blog
Building on their recent blog post for CILIPS highlighting how all library professionals can support Health Literacy, we were delighted to welcome Sam Cassidy, a science writer for NIHR Evidence, which produces jargon-free summaries of NIHR-funded research. In this presentation, Sam gives a brief overview of the NIHR, details what her team at NIHR Evidence does and how CILIPS members can get involved by sharing evidence summaries, suggesting research outputs or topics for future summary, and becoming NIHR Evidence reviewers. Watch the full recording below:
Next Steps:
- Let Sam and her team know about research outputs or topics that might benefit from an Evidence summary by emailing evidence@nihr.ac.uk
- Sign up to the NIHR Evidence newsletter
- Share NIHR Evidence summaries with your library networks
- Become an NIHR Evidence reviewer (or encourage your networks to do so)
