A new round of the School Library Improvement Fund (SLIF), which is administered by SLIC on behalf of the Scottish Government, has now opened. The latest round offers Scottish schools and nurseries the opportunity to gain a share of £170,000 to support an innovative project in their library.
The SLIF has been running since 2017 and the fund has already supported a number of schools to improve their school library offer. It also supports school libraries to achieve the aims of the National Strategy for school libraries, Vibrant Libraries, Thriving School.
To apply, read the SLIF Guidance Form and download the application form, both of which you can find here. Applications need to come from the Key Contact for your area, SLIC will not consider applications directly from schools or nurseries.
Visit the SLIC website for further information and also to see a list of SLIF FAQs.
Applications should be in by Monday 3rd February with successful applicants being informed on Monday 24th February.
