National School Libraries Professional Learning Community
As part of the implementation of the National Strategy for School Libraries, our colleagues at Education Scotland have set up the National School Libraries Professional Learning Community. This is a virtual learning environment available on Glow for all those involved in school library provision in Scotland. It has been designed to support the implementation of the Vibrant Libraries, Thriving Schools national strategy by providing:
- up-to-date documents and national programmes
- professional learning opportunities, digital learning resources and links to relevant research
- links to key organisations and partnership working opportunities
You can find the National School Libraries Professional Learning Community at:
You need a username and password to access Glow. This will be provided by your local authority or establishment if you work in:
- a school or local authority;
- a college delivering the 3–18 curriculum;
- a university with a faculty of education;
- a local authority nursery or nursery in partnership with a local authority;
- a school outside of local authority control that delivers the 3-18 curriculum;
- a Scottish Government body with a primary remit within the 3-18 curriculum.
