Get a Jump on Next Session with Scottish Book Trust

Maybe you’ve been asked to present at the in-service day in August.
Maybe you’re going for Reading Schools accreditation.
Maybe you’ve been asked to organise an author visit.
We know what you’re thinking: this term’s not even over yet but planning has already begun for August.
Scottish Book Trust (SBT) knows how hard school librarians work and to help us get a jump on next session, they’re running a FREE online event from 5pm on Wednesday 15th June to explain how their initiatives can support our schools’ priorities for the coming academic year.
You’ve also been invited to shape the online Career-Long Professional Learning (CLPL) offer from Scottish Book Trust. If you have an idea for training, this will be your chance to suggest it to the programme builders at SBT. You can make suggestions during the event or add your thoughts now to the Google Jamboard.
You’ll also get a sneak preview of the revamped Scottish Teenage Book Prize for 2022/23, with an overview of how you and your learners can get involved and make the most of the programme, including best practice insights from schools. There will also be the chance to hear about upcoming author event opportunities, both online and in-person, and a presentation on Scottish Book Trust‘s brand new accreditation programme, Reading Schools, which will be rolled out nationally in the next school year.
And remember, if you’re going for Professional Registration (either Certification, Chartership, Fellowship or Revalidation) this session counts towards your own CPD. Just another reason to sign up, if we haven’t convinced you already!
This online event is free and open to all: please register here to receive the Zoom joining link a few days in advance.
