Part Time Research Role: Jessie M. Soga
CILIPS have been contacted about an opportunity that has arisen for a part-time (one day a week) researcher. This would be a paid role and would involve searching church records for information on Jessie M. Soga, who was connected with the Wellington Church in Glasgow and was a Xhosa/Scottish contralto singer, music teacher and suffragist.
Some of the records have already yielded information, and it would be your job to read and photograph these, and find further information.
Some experience of researching as well as perseverance and diligence would be useful assets, and as well as being remunerated, you would be shedding light on a deserving person.
For more information, and to discuss payment, please contact Ian McCracken at iangmccracken@gmail.com or on 0141-637-8805
