CILIPS Green Libraries Scotland Projects 2024-2025. Threads of Change: making a difference one stitch at a time. West Dunbartonshire Libraries

In this interview, we visit Amy Lyons and Suzie Short from West Dunbartonshire Libraries to hear more about their Green Libraries Scotland funded project. Threads of Change – Making a difference one stitch at a time, aims to tackle the climate change conversation utilising local libraries to teach children and young people new skills that will allow them to adopt lifelong sustainable practices for them and their families through basic sewing, repairing, embroidery and customisation. We hear from them how the project took shape, inspiration for other library professionals about applying for funding and the palpable benefit seen in the community from this work.
