Call for Student Research Presentations for CILIPS Annual Conference
Category: News
Our Annual Conference is taking place on June 1st-2nd in Dundee, led by our 2020 President Martina McChrystal.
As part of this, we are setting aside one of the breakout slots on June 1st to be filled with presentations by students. This will take the format of a ‘Lightning Session’, with a number of current or recent students giving short presentations (max. 8 mins) on research they carried out at university, with an option for sharing further details of the research after the talk. The aim is to showcase the brilliant work being done by students in the field.
If you would like to present your research during this session, then please fill out this form providing an abstract or a brief description of the research project you would be presenting on. The research must have some connection to the library and information profession.
Current or recent Ph.D. students and recent Masters students who undertook a CILIP Accredited course in Scotland and who have submitted their dissertations in the last 3 years are eligible to apply.
Applications should be in by Friday, February 28th at 5 pm. A panel will then consider which presentations can be included in the session and we will aim to confirm those which have been successful shortly after this date.
Successful applicants will be given a free place at the conference for that day and travel expenses will be covered.
