2020 Name Change
The Metadata and Discovery Group in Scotland (MDGS) was formerly the Cataloguing and Indexing Group in Scotland (CIGS). Following consultation of members of the Cataloguing and Indexing Group across the UK it was agreed to change the name of the group to better reflect the focus and membership of the group. The name change was adopted by CIGS and formally ratified at the 2020 CIGS AGM.
