ARLGS sponsored places at CILIPS Autumn Gathering 2018

The Academic and Research Libraries Group Scotland (ARLGS) committee are seeking applications from ARLGS members for two sponsored places at the CILIPS Autumn Gathering, taking place at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on 24th October 2018. The sponsored place will cover the conference fees, but not travel or accommodation expenses. One sponsored place will be reserved for applicants working in further education libraries, the other place is open to applicants from higher education, research or other specialist libraries. If no applications are received from one sector, where appropriate, the two places will be awarded to colleagues from the same sector.

To apply for this exciting opportunity, all you have to do is submit a short statement of around 200 words outlining why you want to attend the Autumn Gathering. In this statement you should consider how the sessions will benefit your role and professional development.

Applications from those unable to secure work-based funding to attend the Autumn Gathering will be prioritised along with applications from members who have not recently been funded by ARLGS for attendance at a professional event.

In return for the sponsored place, we ask you to write a report about the conference for the ARLGS blog (http://www.cilips.org.uk/branches-groups/special-interest-groups/academic-research-libraries-group-scotland/) before the end of 2018.
