ELibraries for Schools (ELFS) is a new charity which is seeking to improve children’s access to books to support both reading for pleasure and reading for the curriculum and they hope to level up such access across geographical areas and socioeconomic groups. By providing an overlay ebook library funded by charitable donations they aim to broaden the selection of books available to children across the UK.

ELFS has access to a world class children’s book search and discovery engine so are able to assist schools in choosing an e-library that specifically meets the needs of their current pupils. Currently focussing on primary schools, they are looking for more schools to act as pilots for their programme. They are also looking to build partnerships with existing school librarians, to learn from them and to understand how they can best supplement their services.

More information about ELFS can be found on their website https://elibrariesforschools.org/. If you would like to get involved or just hear more about their work please get in touch at info@elibrariesforschools.org.
